As an environmentally conscious company, Demxx provides a means for the people of Vancouver Island to dispose of certain materials in an environmentally friendly manner at no cost to themselves. As a business we cannot accept all materials and are restricted in what we do accept. With this in mind we provide facilities for free metal and aluminum window drop off.
Metal
At Demxx we will accept all scrap metal and common metal appliances. At any given time in the scrap metal bins you may find bath tubs, bicycles, brake shoes, fencing, washers and dryers and lawnmowers (please ensure there is no gasoline in the tank). We will accept all scrap metal except for batteries, cans of paint or lacquer, or anything that is leaking or oozing (i.e. an engine with oil still in it). All we ask is that you come into to front office prior to dropping anything off just for a quick inspection and to get directions to the trays.
Aluminum Windows
We now accept aluminum windows for recycling. If your window has become ineffective and you want to get rid of it, bring it by. There is no need to remove the glass or do anything else in preparation for drop off. All we ask is that you drop by the office for a quick inspection of the windows and directions to the drop off point (it is different from the scrap metal).
